Reflections Medical Spa

Reflections Medical Spa
Wilmington, DE

Background: Brandywine Design was contacted by client to assist with finish selections.

Objective: Create an inviting atmosphere for clients as well as select finishes that will meet medical requirements and building code regulations.

Client interview: Clients wanted to create a “look” that was warm and inviting, yet stream lined and professional. The counter surfaces needed to be sanitary. The laser treatment room had to have window treatments that would block the laser beams from escaping.

Design Recommendations: Designers selected a warm color palette in the red/terra cotta/plum family. These colors are very flattering to skin tones. The fabrics selected were contemporary yet also warm. We recommended a medium stained maple wood as maple does not have a busy grain and would lend itself to the clean lines and design. Designers also recommended replacing the unflattering fluorescent lighting with much warmer and more flattering recessed lights.

Details: Clients embraced the warm palette on the walls and the more neutral wood cabinets and counters. The neutral color light blocking roll shades work perfectly in the laser treatment room- adding a clean and warm color when lowered; and when raised, they are completely concealed behind the decorative window treatments. Designers also selected a display unit to showcase the product line available for purchase, as well as some botanical artwork to complete the look.

Result: A unique look that makes the spa memorable. Function and design combine together perfectly.
